JHC Annual Appeal
We are excited to kick off our first entry on the news section of our new website. We hope that you’ll visit here often to learn more about the club, our events and happenings at the hospital.
For our first post, we wanted to share with you a letter from our president, Catherine McKenna. We created our first ever video to support our annual appeal. We hope you’ll take a few minutes to watch the video – and of course, we’d love for you to donate.
From Catherine:
First and foremost, we hope that you, your family and friends are all well and safe. This pandemic has totally upended our lives and in many cases, our livelihoods. The changes have been many and staggering. As we’re all trying to figure out how to navigate in this new normal, one thing remains unchanged – our need to financially support our community hospital – BID-Plymouth.
For the year ending September 30, 2019, the JHC was able to pass along $156,202 to BID-Plymouth as follows:
$50,000 Behavioral Health and Substance Use Collaborative – Hopefest 2018
$38,000 JHC Cancer Center – from the 2019 Polar Plunge
$25,000 BID-Plymouth, General Operating Expenses
$20,000 Nursing Scholarships
$10,154 Teddy bear program for young ED patients
$ 6,560 Cranberry Hospice – from the Golf Tournament
$ 6,012 Fragile Footprints / Cranberry Hospice – from the Fashion Show
These financial donations were made possible by the many very generous individual and corporate supporters of our events. Needless to say, since the advent of COVID-19, we haven’t been able to host any in-person fundraisers, but we still need your help! As you can imagine, revenues have totally collapsed, while the needs of the hospital and patients have continued to grow.
If you usually attend one of our events or just generally support the JHC, we ask you to please make a donation to our Annual Appeal. Please know that every donation makes a difference, regardless of its size. Thank you for your continued support, and we hope to see you all soon – in the meantime, please stay safe!
With gratitude,
Catherine McKenna, President
The Jordan Hospital Club, Inc.
